We are a family who enjoys livin' on the edge!

Today Merritt and I went to the Aboretum with some friends from our playgroup. In the 13 years I have called Austin home, I have never gone passed the Aboretum stores to the beautiful and peaceful areas that are just beyond the Gap, Janie and Jack, and Gymboree.
Merritt wasn't to sure about the large cow statues but she did enjoy watching the waterfall and fountains. She asked several times, "Shoes off?" Which in Merritt speak means, 'Let's go play in the water!' A friend brought bubbles and the girls giggled and ran as they tried to catch each one.
We walked down to the duck pond, which was an adventure! I didn't realize when I started the treck down that it was a winding, rocky trail and Merritt's stroller tires were seriously low on air. And then came the stairs! But it was well worth the hike when Merritt saw the pond, ducks, and geese. {Side-note: I am freaked out by birds} We pulled out the bread for the girls to feed the ducks and the geese came over quickly, a little TOO quickly for my taste. She had a great time and ran around the whole pond finding turtles and fish.
We will definitely will have to go back soon!
