Easter Fun!

Our family has been celebrating Easter and having an 'egg'cellent time playing with our friends at Easter Playdates and Hunts!
We went to an Egg Hunt at our neighborhood park and met up with our friends, Leah, Katie, and Vince to let the girls go egg hunting. Merritt also got her face painted with a cupcake.
Some friends of ours hosted an Easter playdate for our group and Merritt and Ross an 'egg'strodary time! All the kids were so cute collecting the eggs!
Bunny Ross chillin' under the umbrella while everyone was collecting eggs... Next year he will be an egg-finding machine :)

Night Easter Egg Hunting

The night before Easter we had some fun preparing for the Easter Bunny's arrival...
We wrote him a sweet note and left him some carrots by the front door just in case all that hopping made him hungry for a snack.

Then we had some fun with a glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg Hunt.  I put the LED lights {they look like fake candles} in some large eggs and hid them around the yard.

Merritt had a lot of fun collecting the eggs until she realized there was no candy in them...
Well maybe next year!

Don't they look cool!

Hippity, Hoppity Easter!

The Easter Bunny hopped on over to our house on Easter morning and left lots of treats for the little people!  And a few footprints too!
Here are their  Easter Baskets; hers filled with books, stamps & stickers, and some seeds to plant flowers.  His had a carrot baseball bat & ball, a book, and plastic eggs to throw and chase after!

After getting dressed, she opened her basket to see what the Bunny had brought for her.

Then it was time for the duo to go hunting, egg hunting that is!

Ross really enjoyed himself. He watched as Merritt went looking for eggs and then when her Bunny Basket was full, she would dump them out next to him.  He tried his best to chew on them, but once he had slobbered on them, those eggs get a little slippery!

I love the Bunny Basket Merritt made at school from a millk jug!  It was so easy for her to carry.

Hope you and your family had a very HOPPY EASTER!

Hop to the Easter Egg Hunt!

Our friends Laura and Ayden had a wonderful Easter Egg Hunt Playdate at their house last Friday! Everything was perfect - they are EGG-cellent hosts! Aren't these the cutest cupcakes? The bunny and chick were the kids' take home gifts, along with the hundreds of eggs the Easter Bunny Moms had scattered all over the backyard. When the kids went outside, they were so excited to hunt for the eggs. That is except for Merritt, she was more interested in playing with all of Ayden's toys {Look at those cars! Who wouldn't want to drive around in those cool rides?}. I decided to help Merritt find some eggs when I ran into this mom... Watch out! We were on a mission to collect the most eggs while our children wanted to play with the toy cars {that's her daughter, Marin, on the blue bike}. Here is Merritt and Sienna painting eggs. I love how crafty she is becoming - just like her mommy!
